Anita Kassof is the Executive Director of the Baltimore Museum of Industry, a leading history museum that celebrates the industrial and technological heritage of the Baltimore region. She is responsible for strategic visioning and overall management of the museum, including staff, programs, and operations. Previously, Ms. Kassof served as the Deputy Director of the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, and the Associate Director of the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Ms. Kassof co-founded Heritage Walk, Inc., a consortium of cultural and historic sites in East Baltimore, and she served as a curator at the Baltimore City Life Museums. She was on the founding staff of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where she helped to build the museum’s permanent collection and co-curated its inaugural temporary exhibition. A senior non-profit executive with more than 25 years of Museum experience, Ms. Kassof is a skilled interpretive planner, curator, and writer, with a successful track record in fundraising, board relations, community outreach, strategic planning, staff management, and exhibition and program development.  She has curated numerous exhibitions and has authored a wide variety of publications and articles on Baltimore history as well as the Holocaust. Anita received her BA (with honors) from Duke University and her MA in Modern European History from the University of Maryland.
